DAY
1
Relax and refresh yourself poolside or explore the gorgeous hotel grounds.
Visit the spa to book time for your spa treatment. The spa, Ho'ola Spa
(means "healing" in Hawaiian) is truly a place of healing, relaxation,
and rejuvenation.
DAY 2 (Breakfast, Lunch,
Dinner)
Participate in a Well Traveled Tour yoga class and then enjoy a comprehensive
and delicious buffet breakfast. After breakfast, meet your host who
will review the week’s itinerary with you.
Then you have a chance to meet Aunty Mahealani, a teacher-messenger
for the spiritual voices of the ancestors. She shares the traditional
“mo’olelo-story telling” about her culture and its spiritual beliefs.
For example the practice of “hooponopono keala” is an ancient Hawaiian
therapy that helps to cleanse people of grief, anger and fear and brings
them balance.
Then get ready for this evening's festivities: a sumptuous Hawaiian
Luau feast, featuring Pacific cuisine and Polynesian entertainment.
DAY 3 (Breakfast, Lunch)
Have your fill at the breakfast buffet, or opt for a lighter breakfast
aboard THE FAIRWINDS II while you enjoy a calm morning sail to Kealakekua
Bay. This pristine marine sanctuary offers excellent snorkeling amidst
the playful and colorful reef life. Lunch is served on board.
Have dinner on your own at the hotel or take the evening shuttle to
Kona town where you can discover restaurants, shopping and nightlife.
DAY 4 (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast we hop aboard a private chartered coach and adventure
to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where you will discover the geological
grandeur of this volcanic island. You’ll tour lava tubes, crator rims,
rainforests and more. Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, established in
1916, displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration,
and evolution -- processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and
clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems and a distinct human culture.
The park encompasses diverse environments that range from sea level
to the summit of the earth's most massive volcano, Mauna Loa at 13,677
feet. Kilauea, the world's most active volcano, offers scientists insights
on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and visitors views of dramatic
volcanic landscapes. After lunch, we’ll also visit the The Volcano Art
Center which showcases some of the Island`s best artists.
DAY 5 (Breakfast)
Participate in a Well Traveled yoga class. After breakfast, join your
fellow travelers for a hike at the Ridgelines. Two hundred years ago
at Hualalai's last eruption site left dramatic craters hundreds of feet
deep, cinder formations, Pele's tears, and lava tubes and channels.
